Milwaukee
is so FORTUNATE to have the "Color Rush, 75 years of color photography in America" exhibition here. This show
takes time but is worth every second. Experience the same 40 color
slides featured in Helen Levitt's 1974 solo show at MoMA; connect the
dots between Laszlo Moholy-Nagy, Hy Hirsh and Barbara Kasten; dance
between the perceptual and conceptual with John Baldessari and John
Pfahl; and get lost in the diary of Nan Goldin. Color Rush smart and
generous. If you want to hear more about my thoughts on the show come
by MAM tomorrow...
