I arrived to sunny Florida this morning and have recently settled into my new home for the next two weeks. Accommodations include; this view from my bedroom, a similar view from my bathroom, a sea turtle nest, an afternoon storm rolling in, the fabulous Bruce Rodgers, the productive Kristina Wong, and miles of beach and ocean. My Cannon G9 crashed on me right before I left (i am hoping to get it back while i am here) so i will only be able to post a few iphone pics for now... everything else I am shooting is film. I may post some video too... a work in progress...til tomorrow..

I'm so jealous! It's the smell of the salt water that gets me every time. When do they expect the eggs to hatch? I know all about turning out the lights but have never actually been there during nesting/incubation season.
I am not positive about the hatching date... there are new and old nests each day. There is a crew that sweeps the beach every morning looking for belly marks. I heard that the full moon on the 18th might be a good night to try and catch the action.
I love the star fish in your window and the natural grasses, dunes and the sea. What will be your muse as you think, write and photograph?
